Job Summary:
An Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is available in Espanola, New Mexico. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing direct patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care. The nurse will coordinate patient care, administer medications and treatments according to protocols, and oversee clinical supervision of licensed practical nurses and non-licensed personnel. The position requires floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles.

Job Details:

• Location: Espanola, NM
• Schedule: Days, 10 hours shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross; minimum two (2) years current experience in a large OR; ability to scrub; successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record experience (training available on-site); orthopedics, EENT, and/or vascular experience; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications preferred
• Certifications: BLS required; PALS and ACLS preferred
• Additional Information: Experience with orthopedic, EENT, and vascular procedures is a plus
