Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is sought for a position in New Mexico. This role involves providing comprehensive obstetrical care during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal phases, utilizing professional nursing practices in accordance with state law and hospital policies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
• Unit type: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
• Shift: Nights, 6:30 p.m. 7:00 a.m.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Stable; Bachelors or higher education in nursing; valid nursing license; 2+ years of labor and delivery experience; no minimum experience otherwise specified.
• Preferred Qualifications: Leadership skills, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment.
• Additional Information: The unit manages 1 triage bed, 3 labor beds, and 4 postpartum beds with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:4. No floating or call duties are required. Scrubs must be full uniform in any color, with only undershirts worn under scrub tops.
