Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurse will be based in Muscatine, Iowa. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within the acute patient population, including critical care tasks such as managing critical glottic tubes, drips, and Bipap therapies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role demands a strong clinical background with experience in med-surg and stepdown units, emphasizing adaptability to varying patient acuity levels.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with start date on 07/13/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Iowa (IA) license in hand (will need to apply for Illinois (IL) license when offered), a minimum of 2 years of previous Medical Surgical and Stepdown experience, EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, valid Drivers License, and relevant certifications including BLS (AHA), NIHSS, and ACLS (AHA).
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to handle an acute patient population, including critical glottic tubes, drips, and Bipap critical care management; experience with EPIC EMR; supervisory references; skills checklist completed within the past year.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility unless applying within Madison, where a local candidate with a 10% rate reduction is acceptable. Float within the same discipline across local campuses may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Drivers license, work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, certifications, and supervisory reference.
