Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MedSurg) care is needed for an oncology unit located in Lebanon, New Hampshire. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for hematology, oncology, gynecology oncology, and cellular therapy patients. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day. The role requires working rotating day and night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, experience or preferred skills in administering chemotherapy, managing side effects, caring for patients receiving radiation therapy and radioisotopes, and handling complex wounds. Additional desirable skills include management of chest tubes, drips (such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, tracheostomies/laryngectomies, telemetry, care of central lines, and blood draws.
- Additional Information: The unit handles diagnoses such as lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancers. Candidates should be prepared for on-call requirements.
