Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Care is needed in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role involves delivering quality patient care by adhering to established nursing care plans and supervising licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Long Term Care
- Shift Time: Nights (from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM), every other weekend
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift; minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience; valid nursing license in Tennessee; and no minimum years of experience required for the role itself.

- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The RN will perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, provide patient education and status updates, participate in patient rehabilitation programs, initiate discharge planning, and communicate effectively to support continuity of care. The role includes supervising ancillary staff, ensuring safety policies are followed, and contributing to a positive work environment. The RN may assume charge responsibilities following orientation and will be involved in ongoing professional development.
