Job Details:

• Float: Float rotation may be required to units such as ICU, Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical, as needed
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum Experience: No minimum years of clinical, specialty, or travel experience specified, but prior travel experience with a minimum of two assignments is required
• Patient Population: Adults aged 18 and older; Pediatric experience not required
• Clinical Procedures: Ventilator management, vasopressor management, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, performing EKGs, discontinuing sheaths
• Ancillary Support: 2 CNAs/PCTs per shift, 1 unit clerk/secretary per shift, 68 other support staff per shift
• Advanced Practitioners: 12 on unit daily
• Orientation: 2 days

• Patient Care Protocols: Vasopressors, EKGs, sheath management
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs, closed-toe non-permeable shoes, groomed hair/beard, no jewelry, no nail polish
• Compliance & Vaccination Policies: Florida AHCA processing may take up to 14 business days. No RTO during the first two weeks; maximum of 8 days RTO for a 13-week contract. Seasonal influenza vaccination required unless medical exemption is granted (exemption form to be included with submission).
• Additional Notes: The facility is not a teaching hospital, and no teaching experience is required. The role involves critical care procedures and operates within a trauma level 1 environment.
