Job Summary:
An intensive care unit (ICU) Cardiovascular position is available at a facility located in Saint Augustine, Florida. This role involves working in a specialized cardiovascular ICU on night shifts. The candidate must bring their license on the first day and meet the specified experience and certification requirements. The assignment is scheduled from July 20, 2026, to October 24, 2026.

Job Details:

• Location: Saint Augustine, FL

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours (1900-0730), minimum 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Unit scheduled; no self-scheduling; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Period: 07/20/2026 - 10/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of clinical experience, 2 years of specialty experience, valid BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, current license, prior travel experience (at least 2 assignments)
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
• Float: Yes, floating to ICU units as needed
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Patient Ratios: Estimated 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 in ICU (may vary based on needs)
• Experience in: Ventilators, vasopressor management, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, post open heart surgery care
• Patient Population: CABG, valve replacement surgeries, age 18+
• Additional Requirements: Unit-specific procedures include vasopressors, EKGs, sheath management, immediate post open heart surgery care; flu vaccinations required; influenza exemption forms must be included if applicable
• Support Staff: 0 CNAs/PCTs, 0 unit clerks, 2-3 other support staff per shift; 1-2 advanced practitioners daily
• Orientation: 3 days; no pre-assignment testing/modules required
• Reporting Systems: Epic EMR; medication system not specified
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs, closed-toe non-permeable shoes, groomed appearance, no jewelry or nail polish
• Additional Notes:
  • RTO not permitted during the first 2 weeks; maximum of 8 days for a 13-week contract
  • Flu vaccination required for the 2025-2026 season unless medical exemption is provided
  • Unit Manager interviews are required
  • FL AHCA processing may take up to 14 business days
