Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Somerset, Kentucky. This role involves caring for patients from newborn to 17 years with various pediatric diagnoses and treatments. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Somerset, Kentucky
• Position Type: RN in Pediatrics
• Shift: 12-hour nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/13/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS); at least 3 years of pediatric nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with failure to thrive, hyperbilirubinemia, bronchiolitis, RSV, respiratory distress, nausea/vomiting, and post-operative care; self-motivated with strong assessment skills and ability to multitask.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; includes 2 weekend shifts per month (Friday night and Saturday night).
• Additional Information: Float requirements include mother/baby well baby unit. The unit has 8 beds, utilizing Meditech electronic health record system; patient ratios are 3:1 or 4:1 depending on acuity.
