Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is needed in Somerset, Kentucky. This position involves providing specialized care to patients of all ages, including ventilator management, arterial line monitoring, Foley catheter care, chest tubes, and pediatric patient management (1:1). Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This is a contract role with a schedule from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in preoperative and PACU unit
• Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per day, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36.0
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), 2+ years of experience in recover and ventilator patient care, experience with ventilator management, arterial lines, Foley catheters, chest tubes, pediatric patients (1:1), proficient in Meditech Magic electronic health record system, must be able to provide care to all ages of life.
• Additional Qualifications: Ability to handle ICU level patients for recovery and hold beds.
• Schedule: 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; weekend hours at least once or twice during the 13-week assignment; call from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM every other week, typically on a day that allows recovery on Wednesday.
• Float: Float rotation may be required for preop and PACU units.
• Other Notes: Patient types to be discussed during interview, including ICU, infants, children, and elderly.
