Description
Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse specializing in Open Heart (OR OH) located in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves performing a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. The position requires providing support to patients and staff throughout surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Days, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program, at least 2 years of experience in operating room settings with specific experience in CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room), and certification as a Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license. BLS certification (American Heart Association) is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, Urology, Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT), and Vascular Surgery.
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours daily, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Location: 600 Elizabeth Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78404.
- Additional Information: Experience with CVOR procedures is required; a minimum of 2 years in Neurosurgery is essential. General OR, Orthopedics, Plastics, Urology, ENT, and Vascular Surgery experience are preferred. The position is full-time with three openings available.
