Description
Job Summary:
Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse specializing in Post Partum (L&D PP)located in Dallas, Texas, providing care on the postpartum floor. The role involves managing high-acuity postpartum patients, including magnesium sulfate and preterm labor management, in a newly renovated Womens Services unit. The position supports a dynamic team dedicated to patient-centered care and utilizes advanced fetal monitoring certifications and protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Texas registered nurse license; minimum of 2 years of hospital experience in High-Risk Obstetrical (Labor & Delivery or Antepartum) settings; BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications; experience with magnesium sulfate management and preterm labor management
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ACLS, RNCMEDITECH experience preferred
- Float: Float rotation may be required according to facility policies
- Additional Information:
- Unit has 19 beds with patient ratios of 1:5
- Documentation systems include Meditech and CPIN (primary)
- Shifts will be scheduled to fill vacancies with holiday requirements discussed upon interview
- Dress code includes blue scrubs; tattoos covered when possible; body art and visible piercings appropriately managed
- Newly renovated unit with advanced equipment and technology
