Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed in Los Alamos, New Mexico. This role involves providing care to child-bearing aged women and newborns in a high-quality, acute care setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

  • Certifications and Licensure: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS, and certification/licensure required to work as an L&D nurse in New Mexico.
  • Education: Valid certification and licensure for L&D nursing in New Mexico
  • Required Experience: 0+ years in a relevant role
  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Additional Information: Travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting for background check results but must be supervised.
  • Facility Features: 4 labor rooms, 4 postpartum rooms
  • Patient Ratios: 2-1:1 in LDRP, 3 couplets in postpartum
  • EMR Systems: OBIX, Medhost, GUI
  • Requires previous LDRP/PP experience.
  • Candidates must have required certifications at submission, as certifications are not available on site.
  • All clinical staff must be fingerprinted and provide documentation as per New Mexico State Requirements.
