Description

Job Summary:
An experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves providing direct patient care to neonatal patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Candidates must bring their current RN license on the first day of assignment. The position requires working the night shift, with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and candidates are expected to be available throughout the entire week. The NICU RN will collaborate with ancillary departments to enhance patient care and comfort, functioning within the scope of nursing practice and adhering to relevant guidelines and standards.

  • Position: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN
  • Number of Openings: 2/3
  • Schedule: Nights, 3x12, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN license (eligible or licensed in Missouri), at least 2 years of NICU experience with vent competence, PICU/Peds experience preferred, BLS, NRP certifications required, and must have a minimum of 2 years NICU experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 2 years in a level 3 or higher NICU
  • Additional Information: Night shift orientation occurs during daytime hours, and candidates must be available for orientation the entire week. The role involves performing direct patient care for all age groups, coordinating with ancillary departments, and functioning within the scope of nursing practice as dictated by the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required as nurses may work in NICU, PICU, or Postpartum floor depending on patient volumes.
