Description

Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients within a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This opportunity requires candidates to have a minimum of two years of recent inpatient, acute care hospital experience caring for labor and delivery patients, including high-risk obstetric cases. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care throughout the labor and birth process.

Job Details:

  • Position: RN Labor & Delivery Nurse
  • Location: Saint Louis, MO
  • Shift: 7:00 am ? 7:30 pm, 3 (or 4) days per week, 12-hour shifts
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum
  • Required Qualifications: Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license, minimum 2 years of recent labor and delivery / labor and birth experience in an acute care hospital setting, proficiency in fetal monitoring, labor support and coaching, medication administration, IV therapy, management of obstetric emergencies, excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills. Must have BLS and NRP certifications, EPIC electronic medical record experience, and must have completed Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) training and Infant Assessment (Int AWHONN FHM) preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a team-based, high acuity environment, ability to independently manage laboring patients including high-risk cases, strong skills in fetal monitoring and interpretation, labor support, and obstetric emergencies.
  • Additional Information: Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client approved.
