Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for an ICU Burn specialty position located in Plano, Texas. The role involves providing specialized care in a Burn Trauma Intensive Care Unit, with an emphasis on trauma, burn, and surgical ICU experience. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Plano, TX
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; experience in Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU; ability to work night shifts; excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), burn and trauma ICU experience, team-oriented personality, willing to ask questions and assist others.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit.
- Additional Information:
- Unit has 30 beds with 85 staff members
- Patient ratios are 2:1 in ICU and 4:1 in PCU
- Critical care equipment includes burn ICU and trauma ICU technology
- Typical procedures: wound care, codes, external ventricular drains (EVDs), Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP)
- Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
- On-call and weekend work: Two weekends per pay period required
- Position count: 1
