Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) position is available in an acute medical-surgical unit located in Marquette, Michigan. This role supports adult and geriatric patients ranging from 18 to 125 years old. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The position involves working night shifts, with scheduled hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The facility is part of a specialized hospital offering a wide range of services, including cardiovascular, cancer, neurological, and behavioral health care.

Job Details:

• Location: Marquette, Michigan
• Position Type: RN in an acute medical-surgical unit
• Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, Nights
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36
• Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan State Nursing License, Bachelor's degree, ACLS certification, two years of experience in a medical-surgical setting, ability to work with minimal supervision, critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and capable of working in a stressful environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience on a medical-surgical unit.
• Additional Notes:
  • Patient ratios are approximately 5:1 to 6:1.
  • Equipment used includes telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, bladder scanner, and Dynamaps.
  • Manager: Linda Bergren.
  • The role requires the ability to work with adult and geriatric populations.
