Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse for a position in Alexandria, Louisiana. The role involves providing patient care on a general medical and surgical unit, with a focus on telemetry monitoring. The position offers an opportunity to work with a highly experienced team utilizing advanced technology and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Job Details:

• Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week, working every other weekend and holidays
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications, strong nursing background with thorough assessment skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities, experience with Meditech electronic documentation system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience interpreting telemetry rhythms, familiarity with PICC line removal, vas cath removal, and other procedures performed on unit.
• Patient Care: Hourly patient rounding, bedside shift reports, utilization of My Care Boards and AIDET communication strategy.
• Unit Specifics: 36-bed telemetry unit with patient ratios of 1:6; telemetric monitoring in each room; Dynamaps, glucometers, bladder scanners, and iMobile phones used for vital signs and communication.
• Technology and Procedures: Advanced call light system, Dynamaps uploading to Meditech, procedure for removing PICC lines and vas caths.
