Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Preoperative (Pre Op) Registered Nurse in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing care for adult day surgery patients, with a focus on preoperative and post-anesthesia care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Education and experience requirements include experience in day surgery, preoperative care, post-anesthesia care (Post Op), and EMR systems (Meditech). Candidates must have current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Additional Information:
    • Must work 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule period.
    • Must work during inclement weather.
    • Self-scheduling is available with the ability to adjust staff as needed by the unit.
    • Experience with Meditech EMR, IV starts, and pediatric or adult day surgery is preferred, with adult experience prioritized.
    • Unit involves adult day surgery procedures, including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, and scopes.
    • Unit capacity: 22 beds with a team of 41 staff members, including charge nurses, RNs, and patient care technicians.
    • Equipment used includes Meditech EMR and IV pumps.
