Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Lactation Specialist in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This position involves providing lactation consultation and support within a healthcare setting. The role requires certification and relevant clinical experience, with a focus on delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift, with schedule specific to end-of-week (EOW) and end-of-hours (EOH) requirements.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) or CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor)
    • Education Requirements: Valid Massachusetts RN License (verified within the last 7 days)
    • Experience: 1-2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience and lactation-specific RN experience
    • Additional: Current drivers license matching demographics, and recent employment verification via NURSYS report
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior travel experience in similar clinical roles
    • EMR experience, preferably with EPIC systems
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide lactation consultation in accordance with established clinical protocols
    • Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
    • Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met effectively
  • Submission Requirements:
    • Up-to-date resume reflecting 1-2 years of relatable experience
    • Documentation of travel experience (at least one prior travel assignment preferred)
    • Two recent references from Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor, matching specialty skills
    • Valid drivers license with current address matching demographics
    • Current or conditional Massachusetts RN license verification
    • RTO (Right to Occupy) documentation included at time of submission
