Job Summary:
An Emergency Room Nurse is sought for a facility located in Downers Grove, Illinois. This highly regarded emergency department is a Level 1 Trauma Center with extensive pediatric and cardiac care capabilities. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The selected professional will join a dynamic team providing expert care to a diverse patient population, with a focus on positive patient interactions and exceptional clinical practice.

• Shift Schedule:
  • Days: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Mids: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
  • Eves: 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM
  • Nights: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) license, with at least 2 years of ER experience; Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
  • Location: Illinois
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years ER experience
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trauma certification, stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, management of critical care drips, TPA administration, conscious sedation, assisting with splinting, EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience, and familiarity with hospital telemetry monitoring.
