Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This position requires the candidate to be prepared to bring their license on the first day. The assignment involves working hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with candidates expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
- Schedule: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., full-time, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred); one year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required via American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required via American Heart Association (AHA); RN License in the state of employment or in a compact state
- Responsibilities: Provide clinical nursing care in the operating room setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients. Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitor for side effects, document patient care, and educate patients, families, and caregivers. Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed.
- Additional Information: Call during the week and on weekends; on-call requirements apply.
