Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) located in Bakersfield, California. This role involves independently prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for acutely ill patients, with a focus on interventional radiology. The RN will perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic patient care within the scope of practice defined by the California Nurse Practice Act and professional standards. The position emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Job Details:

  • Location: Bakersfield, California
  • Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • 3 years of nursing experience
    • Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License)
    • Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelors or associate degree preferred
    • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Interventional radiology experience
    • Knowledge of advanced nursing techniques, medical terminology, instruments, and equipment
    • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in emergency and routine conditions
    • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Additional Information:
    • Must maintain all health requirements designated by the organization
    • The role involves monitoring patient responses, managing rapid changes in patient status, and adhering to infection control and medication safety protocols
    • The position may require specific certifications depending on assignment
