Job Summary:
This Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The role involves providing behavioral health nursing care in a facility with 11 beds, with a maximum capacity of 8, and a patient ratio of approximately 1 RN to 5-6 patients when full. The position includes a variety of shift times, requiring flexibility with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour variable shifts, and involves clinical responsibilities such as medication passing, patient care, documentation, and milieu management.

• Required Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate, Bachelor's Degree (preferred), AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Wisconsin or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, 0 years minimum experience, flexible shifts including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, vaccination against flu and COVID-19 as per policy.
• Preferred Qualifications: Behavioral health experience, medical/surgical background, Epic charting experience, 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Tomahawk, Eagle River, or Howard Young.
• Additional Information:
  • Guaranteed hours of 72 biweekly, with overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week.
  • Contract includes 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
  • In flu season, declining flu and COVID vaccinations requires mandatory mask-wearing at all times.
