Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing compassionate and skilled care on a Level I Trauma Center's Medical Surgical Floor. The RN will manage a variety of trauma and acute care patient cases, requiring experience with trauma injuries, emergency procedures, and complex patient care protocols.

Job Details:

  • Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
  • Shift: Nights (12 hours)
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 48 hours
  • Start Date: 08/03/2026
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Education & Experience: 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in similar acute care settings; 6 years of patient ratio experience; 5 years of trauma experience; 0 years minimum experience acceptable if no specific experience is stated
    • Licenses: MO license or eligible for MO license; IL license in hand required at time of submittal
    • Skills: Proficiency in charting with Epic electronic medical records system, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, starting IVs, insulin management, PICC line management, wound vac management, management of trauma and surgical patients, use of procedural equipment like chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, nasal cannula, and oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, and managing trauma patients from ED, OR, or ICU.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience and trauma Level I certification
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Additional Information:
    • Passing the Relias EKG exam required
    • Experience with Med/Surg, Blood Product Administration, Traumatic Brain Injury, Orthopedic trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains, Chest tubes, and Level I Trauma Experience needed
    • Demonstrated ability to float within scope to meet facility needs; no more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of the assignment
    • Pending license accepted; no local candidates within 75 miles; must have at least 5 years of clinical experience and relevant trauma background.
