Description
Job Summary:
The location is in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This position is for a Certified Operating Room Technician in the surgical services unit. The role involves assisting in orthopedic surgeries and requires proficiency in surgical assistance. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of assignment. This is a full-time position with scheduled shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, three days per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Martinsburg, WV
- Shift: 12 hours per shift, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, three days per week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), with holiday call rotations as needed, and float to outpatient surgery as required.
- Required Qualifications: CAAHEP accredited Surgical Assistant graduate; Certifications include BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, PALS, Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) via NBSTSA, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA; Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is required, along with 2-3 previous travel assignments. Experience and proficiency in assisting with orthopedic surgeries are necessary; valid EMR system experience with EPIC; active license; minimum of 0 years of experience specified; must have a drivers license outside 50 miles from the facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting in orthopedic surgeries, proficiency with EPIC EMR system, and previous travel assignment experience.
- Additional Information: The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in a high-volume OR setting, supporting a team of technical staff, and working within established clinical protocols. Flexibility for call shifts and float duties is required. The shift duration is 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
