Description

Job Summary:
The Pennsylvania-based Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This contract position starts on 07/20/2026 and is ideal for experienced RNs seeking a rotational schedule during night shifts.

Job Details:

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Arrhythmia Course; 1-2+ years recent Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience; valid license in state of Pennsylvania; no minimum years of experience required; facility uses Cerner and GE Centricity electronic medical records; facility located in Scranton, Pennsylvania
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with direct patient care in antepartum, intrapartum, surgical RN circulator, and postpartum recovery settings; comfortable with changing into hospital-provided scrubs each shift
Additional Information: Floating to other units may be required. Patient ratio is 1-2 laboring patients. The labor and delivery unit includes 11 beds, 3 undergoing triage, 2 in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and 2 operating rooms. The RN will provide direct care for both patients and neonates, ensuring continuous, high-quality nursing services.
