Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking an Outpatient Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse for a position located in Edmonds, Washington. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult oncology patients in an outpatient setting, focusing on radiation therapy treatments. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Edmonds, WA

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience: Must have oncology experience; radiation experience preferred but not required. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
• Minimum Experience: 0 years
• Shift Schedule: 8-hour shifts, either 0700-1500 or 1400-2200, with additional 10-hour shifts from 0700-1700. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with no weekends required.
• Schedule: 5x8s or 4x10s, Monday-Friday, No Weekends, 40 hours per week minimum.
• Travel Experience: Required
• EMR System: Epic
• Vaccinations: COVID-19 Vaccine not required; Flu Vaccine status unknown
• Additional Requirements: Two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are needed for compliance.
• Job Responsibilities: Provide outpatient oncology nursing care, including monitoring for side effects of radiation therapy, administering medications, managing patient symptoms, and recognizing abnormal lab values. Experience with external beam radiation therapy (teletherapy), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), Palliative Radiation Therapy, and wound care is preferred.
• Note: The position is tied to the first hill radiation oncology cost center but is located at Edmonds Campus.
