Description
Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) is seeking a Travel Nurse for a hospital specializing in Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU) in York, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing critical care to adult patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and managing complex life support systems including ECMO, ventilators, and VADs. The role requires a highly skilled nurse capable of handling advanced procedures in a fast-paced environment on night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in ICU, Epic charting system experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, Pennsylvania nursing license, COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with arterial lines, chest tube care, and managing patients on ECMO
- Float: Potential to float to all ICU floors and medical-surgical floors if needed
- Additional Information: Must pass EKG exam within 72 hours of signing travel contract; Tobacco- and fragrance-free facility;Ability to care for COVID patients if assigned.
