Description
Job Summary:
The position of Certified First Surgical Assistant (CFSA) is located in an operating room environment within a healthcare facility. This role involves assisting surgeons during a variety of procedures including orthopedic trauma, spine, neuro, gynecological, general, robotics, and vascular surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Certified First Surgical Assistant (CFA), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), First Assist (FA), Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR), or similar. Education requirements include relevant nursing or surgical assistant credentials. Candidates must possess the appropriate licensure and meet the specified certifications.
- Additional Information: Flexible scheduling with call responsibilities. Unit staffed with secretaries and technicians, equipped with standard operating room equipment, including 5 Davinci Robots, Mako, and Velys Robots. Knowledge of Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred. Dress code requires scrubs, which will be provided.
- Responsibilities: Assist surgical teams during procedures across multiple specialties, ensure proper setup and sterilization of equipment, adhere to unit specific policies and guidelines, and provide high-quality patient care assistance.
