Job Summary:
A registered nurse position on the postpartum floor is available in Santa Clara, California. This role involves providing care to maternal and newborn patients, and candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a day shift schedule and is suitable for qualified professionals with relevant clinical experience in labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Job Details:

• Location: Santa Clara, California
• Shift Schedule: Days; 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • ACLS certification
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Additional skills include demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring, IV skills, lab draws, high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin), Urine Point of Care testing, capillary blood glucose testing, IStat, adult cardiac monitoring, newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring, heel sticks/venipuncture, IV medication administration and maintenance, Bili-blankets/lights, radiant warmers, and supporting gyn and maternal-newborn teaching.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience
