Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is sought for a temporary travel assignment in Summerville, South Carolina. The individual will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Summerville, South Carolina
• Position: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse
• Shift: Rotating, 10-hour shifts with flexible start times (8am, 9am, or 10am), scheduled for 40 hours per week. The schedule includes three week-night shifts and one 48-hour weekend call every six weeks, along with three "star/late" shifts every six weeks.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license to practice in South Carolina; Associates of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required); BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required); Min 2 years of acute care hospital PACU experience; No minimum years of experience required beyond that.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• Environment and Demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping; frequent lifting/moving patients up to 50 lbs.; constant reaching with hands/arms; exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues; moderate noise level; work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours; may require work on weekends and holidays.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and responding appropriately to ethical issues while respecting patient diversity and rights.
