Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) located in Spokane, Washington, is responsible for sterilization, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment within a short-term acute care facility. The role involves working nights, with a shift schedule of 10 hours per day, and requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. Candidates must have a valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license and an allied license in hand. The position involves floating between units and possibly between sister facilities, with a focus on maintaining high standards of sterilization and infection control.

Job Details:

• Location: Spokane, WA
• Shift Hours: 10 hours per shift (Nights)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours

• Required Qualifications: Valid WA or Compact RN license (required at time of submission), Valid Allied license in hand, 1 Year of Experience, Certifications: CBSPD and IAHCSMM/HSPAS, Skills include cleaning equipment (crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps), high-level disinfection (HLD), use of washers/sterilizers, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets/trays assembly, equipment documentation, and knowledge of biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma level II pediatric and adult environments, experience with robotic surgery systems such as DaVinci, Mako, and Gamma Knife.
• Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby your contracted facility. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
