Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Postpartum care is being sought for a healthcare facility located in Eureka, California. The position requires candidates to possess at least one year of relevant experience and hold an active California license. The nurse will provide comprehensive postpartum, labor, and newborn care, supporting high-risk obstetric patients and participating in a variety of obstetric procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment and must be willing to work a 12-hour night shift starting on 07/27/2026.
Job Details:
- Position: Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery Department
- Location: Eureka, California
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid California state license, ACLS (American College of Cardiology Life Support), AWHONN Intermediate certification, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program). At least 1 year of relevant experience, including recent obstetric and postpartum care experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical record system and high-risk obstetrical care.
- Additional Information: Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Candidates must have current vaccinations for COVID-19 and Flu. References covering 1 year of recent work (or 6 months for CNAs) are required.
- Special Notes: Travelers are expected to float within their scope of practice and hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby. A minimum of 40 orientation hours is required prior to the start date. Submittals must include SSN, DOB, and RTO information.
