Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a facility in Salem, Massachusetts, will provide patient care on a neuro/orthopedic medical-surgical unit. The role involves working on a rotating shift schedule, with responsibilities including neuro assessments, telemetry monitoring, and interpreting Tele Strips. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience at a single location and two years of travel nursing experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts with day and evening rotations (7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.); night shifts are non-rotating. Rotation frequency is low, with the possibility of being rotated between shifts when needed.
• Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 2 years working in a similar setting at one location; 2 years as a travel nurse; experience with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency; ability to interpret Tele Strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification is preferred.
• Float: Travelers may be required to float to applicable units when requested.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 32-bed orthopedic/neuro medical-surgical unit, specializing in scheduled orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fractures, neuro patients, and medical patient overflow. EMR system used is EPIC.
