Job Summary:
Overland Park, Kansas The organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a general emergency department that serves both adult and pediatric patients. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency care, adhering to facility protocols, and managing various acute care conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Position: Emergency Room RN
- Unit Type: General Emergency Department - Combined Adult/Pedi
- Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts, Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Minimum Experience: 0 years required, with a minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; MAB and CPI preferred
- Required Skills: Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, Ventilated patients, Isolation Precautions, Triage
- Preferred Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, Arterial line management, STEMI Certification, Stroke Certification
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years ER experience, experience with Epic EMR system is preferred, previous charge nurse experience is preferred
- Schedule: Night shifts, 4 shifts per week, with a total of 8-10 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling period
- Float Requirements: May be required to float between departments, units, and facilities within scope, including float to the ED hold area as needed
- On-call: Not required
- Open to block scheduling: No
- License: Missouri or Compact License required
- Vaccinations: Flu Vaccine required; Medical/Religious exemptions accepted
