Job Summary:
A Medsurg Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in the Medical Surgical Floor at a healthcare facility located in Carroll, Iowa. This role involves providing care to a diverse patient population including both adults and pediatric patients within a shared unit. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Position: Medsurg RN
• Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts, starting at 7:00 AM, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break
• Schedule: Six-week cyclic schedule with weekend and holiday requirements
• Required Qualifications: RN license; BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS; PALS certifications; a minimum of 3 years of Med/Surg/Pediatrics experience; at least 1 year of travel experience; ability to titrate Heparin drips; able to interpret and monitor telemetry; experience with MEDITECH electronic medical record system
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to interpret and monitor telemetry is a plus but not mandatory at this time
• Unit Notes: Ability to float to CCU or OB to assist as needed; cross-training opportunities in behavioral health and Emergency Room available upon request
• Additional Information: 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday required during the season; orientation includes one 12-hour shift; security keys are required for medication drawers, with a fee for replacement if lost.
