Description

Job Summary:
An Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Boise, Idaho within the Surgical Services department. Candidates will be providing care in a fast-paced surgical environment with a wide variety of case types, including pediatric, trauma, general, robotic, neuro-spine, oncology, ENT, gynecology, bariatrics, urology, and more. The role requires a professional with strong surgical experience who can adapt to a dynamic schedule. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Boise, Idaho
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience, preferably with 1-2 travel assignments in perioperative nursing.
  • Specialty: Operating Room (OR) / Surgical Services
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, including call, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, at least 2 years of OR experience. Candidates must have EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency.
  • Additional Information: 12-hour in-house day shift; volunteers are prioritized; call response time is 30 minutes; float to nearby surgery centers or hospitals may be required, particularly for those experienced in cardiovascular OR procedures.
  • Float: Rarely float, but may be required to nearby surgery centers or other locations such as Meridian or Nampa if needed.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs are provided by the hospital grey.
  • Orientation: Approximately one week of general and unit-specific orientation prior to start.
  • Special Notes: Candidates' permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility prior to review.
