Job Summary:
A registered nurse with a specialty in Medical Surgery (MS) is needed for a short-term hospital assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role is based in a Level I Trauma Center within a Short Term Acute Care setting. The position involves providing high-level trauma care, and candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment starts on 08/03/2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri license or compact state license. Five (5) years of experience in trauma nursing, with at least six (6) years of patient ratio experience. Experience with EPIC charting system and trauma Level I and II certifications are required. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are required. Ability to pass the Relias EKG exam and interpret/manage dysrhythmias is necessary.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Additional Information: The position requires experience with a variety of skills including blood product administration, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, starting IVs, managing spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, surgical drains, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen therapy, wound care, and level 1 trauma experience. The facility is a Magnet and Teaching hospital with 1,266 staffed beds. Transportation options and parking details are provided, with orientation in a designated garage.
• Certifications & Vaccinations: Certified in BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC. Flu vaccination is required.
• Additional Requirements: Candidates must have traveled experience and pass relevant skill examinations, including the Relias EKG exam.
