Description
Job Summary:
The wound care specialist position is located in New York, NY. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments focused on wound, ostomy, and continence-related care. The candidate will develop and evaluate care plans, recommend treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 7.5 hours per day, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.
- Required Qualifications: Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program; New York State RN License; Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED); AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current certification in at least one of the following: Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) issued by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB), Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), or Wound Care Certified Certification (WCC).
- Preferred Qualifications: N/A
- Experience: Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience. Wound and Colostomy experience.
- Additional Information: Rotating weekends and holidays are required.
