Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) position available in Centralia, Washington. This role involves providing emergency care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population with a wide range of acuity levels. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4x12 Night shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); at least 2 years of emergency room experience, with experience managing a minimum of 100 patients daily and familiar with 4:1 patient ratios; current license (if applicable); location requirements as specified.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience and prior community hospital or trauma center experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within scope to meet facility needs.
- Additional Information: First-timers accepted. On-call is not required. Locals with permanent residence within 50 miles are not eligible for travel assignment. All requested time off must be included at submission.
- Responsibilities: Provide urgent and emergent nursing care, handle complex procedures such as blood product administration, patient vent management, and procedural sedation. Participate in multidisciplinary team efforts including radiology, respiratory services, and social services.
- Certifications and Vaccinations: Valid ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications are required; COVID-19 vaccination is not mandated but flu vaccination status is unknown.
- References: Two references covering a minimum of one year within the past three years are required, including at least six months for certified nursing assistants.
