Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is located in Augusta, Georgia. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The role involves supporting surgical procedures in a busy main operating room with a focus on orthopedic, urology, and vascular surgeries, among others. The position demands teamwork, flexibility, and clinical expertise to contribute to a top-ranked hospital recognized for its surgical care and specialized centers.

Job Details:

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Position Type: Operating Room (OR) Nurse
Schedule: Call shifts 4-5 per 4 weeks with weekend rotation; no set schedule but reasonable expectations
Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); experience in orthopedic major joint, general, urology (open & cysto), minor vascular; proficiency with EMR systems (Meditech); no minimum years of experience required; must have orthopedic experience
Preferred Qualifications: None specified
Float: Float rotation may be required if operating rooms are shut down, with preference given to internal staffing first
Additional Information: Uses Stryker Orthopedic Systems, Stryker Lap Towers, DIV Xi Robots, MAKO Navigation (Stryker), OMNI Navigation. The unit performs all surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eyes. Punctuality, dedication, teamwork, and a positive attitude are key qualities.
