Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) nurse specializing in open heart procedures in Detroit, Michigan, provides leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, they are responsible for providing, delegating, supervising, and documenting care and teaching patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Detroit, Michigan
- Specialty: Operating Room Open Heart
- Schedule: 8 hours shifts, options for five 8-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or three 12-hour shifts with a 6:00 a.m. start time
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Interview: Phone or Teams, 15 minutes
- Required Qualifications: - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- Schedule: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; minimum of 40 hours per week
- On-Call: Yes, 48 hours of call per six-week schedulemust be available one weekend per month
- Additional Information: Duration of assignment is 13 weeks with the possibility of different shift options based on operational needs
