Description

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse is based in Alexandria, Louisiana. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a clinical setting that includes cardiac caths, peripherals, TAVR procedures, and device management. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The role offers an engaging environment for nurses committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; one year of experience in a critical care setting preferred but will accept new graduates; BLS required from AHA; ACLS required from AHA; RN license in the state of employment or compact.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiology or critical care nursing.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The position is typically full-time, with the potential for a temporary to permanent arrangement. Candidates will be expected to work every third or fourth weekend and be on call as needed, in collaboration with other staff. The nurse-to-patient ratio is one patient to four staff members, including two nurses and two technicians. The dress code is Galaxy blue.
  • The responsibilities include assessing patients, administering treatments and medications according to protocol, monitoring for side effects, documenting patient information, and providing education to patients and families. The unit cares for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, TAVR, and related procedures.
