Description
Job Summary:
Surgical Technologist position in Bangor, Maine. This role involves assisting in invasive surgical procedures within a hospital environment, ensuring a sterile and safe operating room setting. Candidates are required to bring their certification and license on the first day of employment. The position will commence on 07/20/2026, with a preferred duration through 10/17/2026. The role requires proficiency in total joint, sports medicine, general, and orthopedic spine surgeries.
Job Details:
- Location: Bangor, Maine
- Specialty: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician (OR Tech)
- Shift Hours: Rotating, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Trade or Technical School (Certificate or Diploma), Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, at least one year of previous experience preferred, candidates must hold valid certifications including NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) and BLS (Basic Life Support), and possess a Maine state licensure if applicable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in orthopedics, trauma, eye, ENT, neuro, URO, GYN, strong general operating room experience, and Da Vinci robot experience.
- Additional Information: Local travelers within 50 miles of the facility will receive a $10/hr decrease. Up to 16 hours of orientation are unpaid. The organization reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts within the 13-week contract.
