Description

Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available for an immediate start in a pediatric specialty care setting. The role involves providing high-quality care to pediatric patients from birth through 18 years of age within a mixed acuity unit. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with pediatric cancers and therapies, as well as proficiency with the Beacon platform. The position requires flexibility to rotate between nights and days, with a focus on delivering compassionate and comprehensive patient care.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts
  • Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum 5 years of pediatric intensive care experience; certifications include Apheresis Patient Operator (APHON), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); experience caring for pediatric cancer and hematology/oncology patients; experience with the Beacon platform; ability to work in a mixed acuity pediatric unit serving patients from birth to 18 years of age
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in pediatric hematology/oncology nursing; certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nursing (PHON) preferred; experience working in a pediatric mixed acuity setting
  • Additional Information: The unit supports at least two American Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurses (APHON) certified Registered Nurses (RNs) per shift in a 3:1 staffing ratio. Candidates should be familiar with pediatric cancer treatments and therapies, demonstrating extensive experience with this patient population.
