Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Technologist) in Alpine, Texas. This role involves preparing and managing the operating room environment, assisting during surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and equipment readiness. Candidates are required to bring their certification and BLS certification on the first day of assignment.

• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program or other programmatically-accredited surgical technology program, BLS certification. Candidates must have at least 2 years of clinical experience and prior travel experience.
• Additional Information: All travel submissions must have at least 2 years of experience along with prior travel experience. No locals will be accepted. Candidates must be certified and have BLS.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Position Description: Surgical technologists are responsible for preparing the operating room, including sterilization, setting up surgical equipment, and supplies. During surgery, they pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon, manage surgical equipment, ensure the sterile field, and perform sponge and instrument counts to prevent foreign object retention.
