Job Summary:
An experienced Medical Surgical Floor (MS) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for a float team position at a healthcare facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The role involves working on observation, cardiac, medical, surgical, orthopedic/neuro, inpatient rehabilitation, and transitional care units. Candidates are required to bring their active RN or Compact license on the first day. The position offers flexible 12-hour shift schedules with day, night, and evening options, and requires proficiency in charting with Epic. The assignment is scheduled to begin on 07/20/2026.
Job Details:
- Location: Green Bay, WI
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, including day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), evening (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), and half-night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM). The schedule is rotating and must be flexible. Minimum of 36 hours per week, up to 48 hours.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN or Compact license, BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certification (preferred, necessary prior to end of orientation), Associate Degree or Certificate (Bachelor's Degree preferred), 1-2+ years of general Med/Surg experience, experience with venipuncture and Cardizem, ports, Foley/straight cath, and stable drips. Minimum experience explicitly stated as 0 years.
- Additional Qualifications: Experience with charting in Epic (preferred within the past 2 years), previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within various units including observation, cardiac, medical, surgical, ortho/neuro, inpatient rehab, and transitional care units. Efforts will be made to assign candidates to 1-2 similar units.
- On-Call/Call Back: None.
- Weekend/Holiday Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Notes: Must start the medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer (or 24 hours for a quick start). Candidate must be outside a 50-mile radius of the healthcare facility.
- Additional Information: Billing is from Sunday to Saturday with 8 hours of unbillable orientation.
