Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Health Care Professional for a Labor and Delivery Department position in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves working in a high-volume antepartum and labor unit with a focus on supporting high-risk pregnancies and emergency procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Corpus Christi, TX
  • Unit Information: Labor & Delivery/Antepartum; 19 labor beds, 5 OBED beds, 3 PACU beds, 3 surgical beds, 8 antepartum beds; approximately 55 staff members
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with availability for both day and night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include International (possibly referring to international credentials), Family Medicine (FM), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); education and experience requirements include no minimum years of experience, with specific skills in OBED Circulate C-Sections, ability to manage high-risk antepartum patients, labor experience, and managing COVID patients in labor, C-Section, antepartum, and OBED settings. Candidates must have a valid license and meet all listed certification requirements.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced fetal monitoring (FM) is considered a plus.
  • Additional Information: The role may require approximately four weekend shifts per month, including two mandatory weekend shifts, with no on-call responsibilities. The unit emphasizes teamwork and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications & Skills: Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in OBED circulate C-Sections, managing high-risk antepartum patients, labor experience, and COVID patient management. EMR systems used include CPN and Meditech.
