Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking experienced ICU/CCU Registered Nurses in Jacksonville, Illinois. This critical care position involves managing adult patients in a 4-bed Intensive Care Unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois license on the first day of the assignment. The role entails night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The position offers opportunities for clinical skill development in a supportive environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Jacksonville, Illinois
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license, minimum 2 years' ICU/CCU experience, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). No minimum experience requirement beyond the specified 2 years.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) experience, previous hospital or ICU experience in a critical access or magnet hospital setting.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours weekly
• Float: Required; candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.
• Additional Information:
  • Clinical expertise in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, IV therapy including paralytics and sedatives, and ventilator management.
  • Proficiency in assisting with chest tube management, BiPAP and CPAP support, suctioning, infection prevention protocols, and use of PPE.
  • Candidates must have experience with Cerner charting system and be prepared to submit two to three interview times.
  • All candidates must have received the flu vaccine or have valid medical/religious exemptions.
  • The assignment begins on 07/20/2026, with the expectation of completing onboarding and compliance requirements prior to start.
