Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) position is located in Torrance, California. This role involves providing specialized surgical assistance within a busy acute care hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their California state license on the first day of the assignment. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced surgical equipment and diverse procedures, and candidates with neuro or general surgical experience are preferred.
Job Details:
- Location: Torrance, California
- Shift Hours: 10 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Start Date: 07/27/2026
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NBSTSA (National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
- Experience: 3 years surgical tech experience
- Required Qualifications: CA license in hand, 3 years of surgical tech experience, NBSTSA certification, BLS certification, ability to scrub various surgical procedures including neuro, general, gynecology, urology, ENT, and others; travel experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Neuro surgery experience is a plus
- Additional Information: Must be willing to float to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro; ability to work during holidays is required; candidates must have completed a minimum of 1 year of travel or hospital experience; references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required; LA fire card within the last 30 days is necessary
